17 mile cave is almost exactly 14 miles west of the intersection of Bellin and Broadway in Idaho Falls, on the Arco Highway (Hwy 20) on the south side of the road. It is about 150 feet behind the Elephant Hunters sign.

You take the road directly behind the cave south toward the lava flow and there are 6 or 7 areas to shoot guns at targets out there. The areas are littered with junk people have brought in to shoot at. Please help clean up these areas by picking up after yourself and carry more out than you came in with. This will help insure that we can continue to use this convenient area to target shoot at.
